AAI Fibre Channel Analyzer

AAI Fibre Channel Analyzer offers 1.0625, 2.125, 4.25 and 10Gbps link rates. Connection to the Fibre Channel network can be achieved through copper or optical connections, depending on the link speed. Passive taps allow the analyzer to be inserted in a network without disrupting the link. In-line connections to Switch Mirror Analyzer (SPAN) ports are also supported.

AAI Fibre Channel Analyzer provides complete Fibre Channel protocol stack, including VLAN support. Upper layer protocol supports includes:

  • Small Computer System Interface (SCSI)

  • Virtual Interface (VI)

  • Remote Direct Memory Access (RDMA)

  • Internet Protocol (IP)

  • Fibre Channel Aeronautics Environment (FC-AE)

Fibre Channel support over Ethernet protocol is also available. Protocols supported include:

  • FCIP

  • iFCP Fibre Channel probe option. Features Include:

Up to 2 Gigabytes of capture memory per port

Up to 32 fully time-correlated ports per system

Flexible interface to support optical, copper, RJ45,

       and more

Working With Other AAI Products

AAI Fibre Channel Analyzer can work alone or in conjunction with other AAI products to form a unified test environment under the flexible, scalable, and upgradeable AAI architecture.

AAI Traffic Generator

AAI Fibre Channel Analyzer works with AAI Fibre Channel Traffic Generator to give you the freedom to perform both static-state and dynamic-state protocol analysis for a complete validation and verification of your network communications. Traffic Generator creates frame-building traffic generation with error injection and sends user-defined Fibre Channel frames at any speed, up to full line rate, with the ability to insert errors into the packet stream.

AAI Bit Error Rate Tester

Together with a AAI BERT, you will gain complete test capability, from physical link connectivity to upper level protocols.

AAI Protocol Editor

By using AAI Protocol Editor, user data within the Fibre Channel frame can be decoded in the Trace Viewer and used as the basis for trigger and filter scenarios. Both Idle From and Idle Primitive support are provided. Idle frame filters remove unwanted frames from the capture buffer, extending buffer capture times. The Protocol Editor permits users to add additional filter, trigger and decode information to support additional protocols and services.

AAI Utility Tools

AAI Fibre Channel Analyzer, together with AAI Utility Tools, enable you to capture, Display and Transmit facilities support implementations with and without optional CRC fields. API makes test automation easy.

AAI Fibre Channel Analyzer Platforms and Configurations

AAI Fibre Channel Analyzers are available in several platforms, from notebooks to high port count rack mounts.
