Investigator Ports

The Ports on every Investigator test system have been standardized to accommodate the widest range of connections using the SFP (small form factor pluggable) transceiver specification.
SFP

SFP standardization allows Investigator test system’s to support a wide range of both copper and optical connections. Voyager 600 & Voyager800 have 4 SFP ports and Voyager1000 has 2 SFP ports. A 4 port card example is shown below using optical SFPs and orange optical cables plugged directly into the SFP cage on the interface card.

Investigator systems also support a wide range of connectors beyond standard SFPs using specialized cable assemblies such as, ‘SFP to InfiniBand’ (shown below), ‘SFP to SATA’ and ‘SFP to SMA’ connectors in addition to many more.
